Dare To Believe

Jan 20, 2012

Failure is not fatal. Do you believe that? It’s the courage to continue that is the most important. Winston Churchill said that and his words remind us today of the power of what we believe.

No matter what we say, our beliefs are revealed by our actions.

“You can do it,” he cheered me “but it wasn’t until I chose to ride the horse that I learned that I really could do it.”

I had to take a step. It was my choice.

Although lots of voices told me tales of success and also stories of mishaps, I had to choose to believe that I could learn to ride a horse.

Yes, and I can still feel the wonder of the hair in my face as I eventually learned to not only ride with confidence but also jump.

Believe.

What do you believe today?

“Is anything to hard for the Lord?” (Gen.18:14)

What’s preventing you from moving forward in your life?

Fears, doubts, tapes from the past, discouragement in the present.

Whatever it is, maybe its time to reconsider it.

Look at it this way, if you knew that you could be successful, would you?

The way you answer that is so telling.

There are so many things that I have done, that I never thought I’d be able to do

Adoption, single parenting, changing careers, riding horses, getting published, giving a speech. Oh, the list could go on and on.

But I chose to believe in a Power beyond myself.

What about you?

Place your hand in His and get ready to experience the Impossible.

Get out the saddle, fill out the form, write the book, take that photo, join the exercise group, and call a coach. Say Yes, to what you can do. Trust Him for the rest.
