Don’t Keep Your Troubles To Yourself

Oct 5, 2011

So many people struggle with low self-esteem and guilt. Day after day they find themselves stuck in the same old self-defeating cycle. Guilt is like a ceiling preventing one from growing in confidence. But there is an answer. Change is possible and it can begin today.

First, look within and identify what is pulling you down. Write it down. If something needs to be confessed, do it. The Bible is filled with scripture with healing words of Truth.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9)

But many people hold onto guilt and find themselves enslaved to their own negative thoughts.  After you have confessed your sin refuse to carry the burden of it any longer. Jesus came to set all people free. When you begin to think those repetitive condemning thoughts, proclaim the truth of your freedom and then forgive yourself.

Wounds happen in relationship. Healing also is found in relationship not only with God but also with another. So share your experience with another and begin to walk in the freedom of forgiveness today. Your confidence will grow in leaps and bounds.
