while I walked outside and shuffled in the autumn leaves.
I pondered the lessons they have to tell
and what I can learn from them.
So while some are pondering weighty subjects my thoughts are up higher so to speak.
Trees so green in the springtime and summer months.
Trees now covered with brightly colored reds, yellows and oranges.
Where were those colors just a few weeks ago?
Hidden deep within the nature of the tree
Waiting for just the right time
shorter days
cooler temperatures
to begin the transformational change that now is evident to all.
Hidden deep within the tree is this magnificent color.
How very true for each person.
You and I
have hidden deep within us tremendous potential, strengths and graces.
Not always evident until the right time.
But God knows all about the gold that lies buried inside
far from the eyes of man.
Yes, He knows and is planning
to gradually
bring out the beautiful qualities that make you unique.
Set apart
A one of a kind
His precious jewel
Many times the circumstances that cause us so much pain and distress
are the very ones needed to bring out your very best.
Like the glorious maple tree
that I can see outside my window
your life is made for a special purpose.
So if at this very moment you are experiencing the uncomfortable
changes in temperature
and less sunlight, so to speak
Be encouraged
Nothing is ever wasted.
He has promised to use everything to serve in your life.
Everything
There’s a purpose
there’s a plan
and through it all your true color is now coming out.
Hidden as it were a few months and years ago
like the maple tree that looked like every other tree
your beauty is seen by all who know you.
Autumn leaves speak of importance of the seasons
in our lives and of our Father’s Love.
Yes, I might go talk to the trees some more tomorrow.
I love this time of year.
How about you? Listen to what those brightly colored trees are saying.
They have secrets to share for those who are quiet enough to hear them.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed
into His image with ever increasing glory which comes from the Lord, Who is the Spirit. (II Cor. 3:18)
