Never doubt in the dark what God has shown you in the light.

Powerful words.

Words I heard long ago as a child.

Words that speak hope as I continue to wait for some things.

You too?

It is difficult when we see no sign of things changing.

It can be so hard when we look and see others receiving the very gift we

   knew had been promised to us long ago.

Did Abraham squirm uncomfortably as he saw others becoming fathers?

Did Sarah mumble as year after year went by?

Those words wrap themselves around my heart today with strong cords of love.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with everlasting kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Do you wait right now without seeing any sign of change in your situation?

Does your marriage still struggle?

Is that beloved child of yours still rebelling?

Do you still wait for a job?

Remember His Faithfulness and His Words of promise.

“The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms.” (Deut 33:27)

His timing is never too late.

What He has promised will happen.

Fear not, dear one.

Although everyone else has let you down, your Father will not.

Delays do not mean never.

A wait does not mean no.

Let’s not give into our human tendency to pack our bags

          or grab things into our own hands

               and force a change.

No, let’s continue to pray and wait

      Proclaiming His Goodness and Faithfulness.

Let’s join hands as we trust Him

    And lift our hearts in praise.

Although we don’t see anything

      And there is no visible sign of fulfillment

          He is our God

               And we will trust Him.

 The desert will blossom with flowers

    the fountain will again burst with refreshing water.

      He loves you with an everlasting Love.
